Cool Did I ruin my germinated seed?

Hi I’d like some help please!
I just planted a feminised auto seed that had been germinating for 3 days. The tap root was very small but visible and the shell was slightly open and I thought after 3 days I should plant it. When I picked it up gently with tweezers (or so I thought), the tap root sort of burst and I saw something fly off? Couldn’t find it so assume it was fluid and the shell was slightly closed. I planted it anyway. Has this happens to anyone else? Do you think the seed will still grow or should I just buy another one? Any help greatly appreciated

Wait a few days to see if it'll break ground.

Sounds like a bad seed, I've had a few just squished with no pressure whatsoever. Usually when they do that you get a little taproot poking out and then it just doesn't develop anymore and after a while it turns to mush.

So yeah, I would order more seeds.

Same, had a few just poke out the shell then stop, just gone in the bin

Ok thanks for the advice guys... I will wait a few days as it’s already planted and see what happens. Just for future reference, should I have left it germinating in paper towels for longer to let the tap root get stronger before planting it? Honestly it just popped like a water balloon... wasn’t expecting that ????

Probably just got a bad seed, as long as you're germinating temperatures are good they should work without much help from you.

    Thanks hotshot ??

Here is the seed before it ‘popped’.... does that look like a normal Taproot? Was full of fluid that’s all I know!! Click image for larger version.

That looks about half rotted to me, here's a healthy looking seed tap. Brighter and lighter and definitely not translucent.

That’s what I was thinking but never seen a rotten one for comparison! I’ve ordered new seed today but will leave it planted just out of curiosity to see if it sprouts! I plan on binning it tho. In the meantime my 13 day auto Dr jack will keep me busy! ?? It’s my first grow but I think she’s doing ok? What do you think?
