    Default Possible spider mites?

Well I've just finished drying my last crop and noticed a small red spider like thing outside my tent on top of a lid running flat out round and round in circles, I've got a small plug in ozone generator that was blowing in the direction of the lid.

Turned ozone off and spider stopped running around, switched it on and off it went round and round in circles hahaha - must admit i kept switching it on and off laughing at it

Obviously it's a pest so I'm going to have to clean my grow area

Do you guys think this sounds like a spider mite?
Will soapy water get rid of these?
Ozone generator get rid of them also? (I've a large one in the tent)

I've been running i takes with no filters so I'm guessing warm temps and lack of filters have made it easy for them to get in with a nice warm environment, never noticed any on my actually plants just this one outside the grow room.

    Cheers

Through your loupe can you see any webbing on your buds? And when i had splder mites (what I thought they were) they where white and really hard to see without some magnification
I'd ask for a picture but it'll make me fooking itch

No webbing on the buds mate, none in the tent.
Judging by the reaction it had with the small ozone generator I'm guessing it wouldn't find being in the tent appealing with the bigger ozone generator

You can see spider mites with the naked eye, but it's very hard. They don't run around fast. It sounds like you may have a chigger, they are a type of mite I don't know if they bother plants but they bite people.

How good is that ozone generator? That's the way I'd clean up my grow area between grows, it'll kill anything that you leave in there plants or whatever if it's strong enough. they do tend to break down certain plastics and might actually cause your tent to fail earlier but I kind of think that would be years down the line.

Looks like that could be the one pal...
Bright red it was crazy little thing hahaha

Ozone generator is suitable for 30 cubic meters it's a Uvonair 1000.

I'm going to clean the tent fully.
Currently under going a change around to allow for new 6inch fans and cool hood so I'll empty it completely and get it all nice and clean.

I'm going to put some tights over the intakes this time, also run the ozone generators for a few days with the tent empty see if i can get rid of them.
