    Default Thrips

Had my new tent up 6 just less than 6 days, and already noticed a thrips on my seedling today, how on earth do they even get inside the tent or in the bedroom for that matter.

Any ideas how to tackle this as quicklyand efficiently as possible?

You buy them in your soil usually. Any product with Montgomery spinosad in it is great for thrips. The old-fashioned remedies like neem oil work very well too. And early on you can use insecticides that have pyrethrins in them.

It's the fact that they're down in your soil that is the real b****. Strategies are letting your pot dry out a little bit more between waterings covering the top of your medium with clay pebbles or sand or something that keeps the little larvae from getting down in the roots, that's where they come from.

Can thrips / fungus knats become immune to neem? I've sprayed multiple times this grow and the little b*states just keep coming back. Fly traps made the biggest difference and may put down some Diatomaceous Earth or sand. I just can't seem to be rid. Have to say though, It's fairly satisfying punching the side of the groom or catching them mid flight.... Stubborn buggers though

I just used food grade Diatomaceous Earth with a new living soil. It worked great. I saw a video on you tube and tried it.

when watering in coco you see them floating and dig their way back in.

ive only ever got them when i havent used cannazyme. they arent too much of a problems. sticky traps and neem will do yo wonders.

they wont go away 100% but at least you wont have an infestation.

they find their way in there through the medium.

one of the shop round my way had to send all their stock of coco back cos it was crawling with all sort of bugs. badly stored in a shed.

letting top of medium dry out a bit can help with larvae. sticky traps for the flying fuckers.
