Fan arrived and got time set aside tomorrow. Fingers crossed it will work.

Also went back to check the acoustic ducting to ensure this was right and I had made mistake.

Was going to use air cooled but if this does not work then I will maybe just go straight for decent LEDs and accept that loft tents get hot. Even in Scotland!

    Cheers for the info.

I will look into that swell but sounds like I am going to end up with LED due to loft and height restrictions.

I had exactly the same last year growing in loft, my top temps hit 47c in my grow box. I am currently now growing in a spare room with a LED and can still hit temps in the low 30s.

This is a kind of a pricey option, and if you don't own the house your landlord probably won't go for it, but you may have to consider an attic fan. That's a fan that blows hot air out of the attic through one vent and pulls in cooler air from the outside through another vent. They are thermostatically controlled to come on when the temp in the attic reaches whatever temp you set it for.

I hit the 40s using LED daily at the moment. No issues with good airflow :-)

I grow outside so the sun hits the tent. Hottt!

I used to hit 40+ when I was growing in my mum and dad's loft, had no choice but do it up there. Managed get through and had some decent grows.

    Thanks for the reassurance mate.

Air flow is good and hopefully better now that I have changed a few things.

As long as you have proper air flow (and proper everything else of course) then i promise you that 29c - 31c is absolutly fine for growing cannabis.

I used a 600w HPS with a cooltube when I grew in my attic back in Scotland, our roof had been re done with the red tiles which most likely helped I had also insulated the roof with solid styrofoam insulation I picked up from one of the building sites I had been working on.
Now I have a full size basement so even when its 30 outside the basement always sits around 22 except for the winter.
