Think the myth of leds causing calcium and/or magnesium deficiency needs knocking on the head.

Like going for a run and saying that caused dehydration. Have a drink!

    Vitalink mate

Gardro, how come the myth started do you think? I've heard it mentioned quite a lot, even on podcasts which I tend to trust
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.

The point im making is the cause and effect bit.

Add loads of extra light or hang your lights too close etc and then not understanding you need to up all nutrients and temps proportionally.

Your current grow backs up my point. Nice even light bars not hang too close and you have added a bit of calmag every other feed. No deficiency to talk about.

Led just happens to put a lot of light down, theres no wavelength or anything that starts attacking calcium or magnesium

So many myths around mate no worries.

Imagine it was the iron or nitrogen that helped with the issues. People often dont notice calmag frequently contains these too.

Funnily enough, there's an overfed grow on The Talk at the mo (can't remember which grower) and I'd bet you anything they're using bloom, calmag and bloom boost at the top of the manufacturer's recommendation, cumulatively when every one of those products contains nitrogen. IMO, they really need to be substituting quantities to reduce the overall quantity of nutrients used.

BTW - with QBs, Gards, it may be the wrong terminology, but for me it's like a metabolism issue given the effectiveness of the light - upping the temperature to match the metabolism worked fecking wonders.
