I would urge you to drop the organic side of things. With shop-bought soil from a bag and few, if any, amendments, and depending on your water, it's my very strong belief that it's near impossible to grow a satisfactory plant organically. I'm certainly not saying it's impossible but it is dispiriting and painful and there is a better way.

Organicus and OT were utter toilet for me in soft water and I took a trip to the hydro shop and bought some non-organic nutrients made specifically for the water. Honestly, it was a total revelation. I'm aware that for anyone reading this (MrCannabisir will be sighing) for the umpteenth it sounds boring (it is) but cal, mag and premature yellowing issues all stopped overnight when I started using PM's non-organic nutes for soft water (they do a hard water version, too)

Again, it may just be that I got lucky and that these nutrients sorted me out - it's not a panacea - but for a very small outlay, I'd definitely recommend Plant Magic's non-organic range for either soft or hard water.

Here endeth the sermon and apologies to anyone reading this for the fifteenth time.
Can’t get better than organic buddy.you just opted for the easy route lol

Oh, I agree, but the hobby also needs to be fun, mate.

If growing successfully organically means having a skill set that I could never achieve, then why continue to fail when there is a solution?

And you're nailing it....so no reason to change, BB. I wish I could do it your way.

UpTown's sitch is much like mine was and he's already thinking of non-organic. Once you've had your head turned by that thought, the jigsaw is much easier to finish. I'm certainly not saying it's better or that yields are greater, but it does become fun again; looking forward to opening the tent door rather than gritting yer teeth is much nicer.

I'm being flippant - all I'm really saying is, for a very average percy like meself, if you can't make organic growing work for you, then it's unlikely you ever will. I'm growing in a tent at the foot of my bed, FFS....I can't start amending soil and shit; worms will escape and crawl across my face in the night and stuff.

If something doesn't work "out the bag" then a solution is needed.
