    Default Unanswered: Autoflowering light question

Hello good folk of the talk. It's been a while since I've posted on here but I have a quick question.

If you've had a few autos on a 16/ 8 light/dark schedule would it have any negative impact if I was to change to 18/6 or 20/4. About 6 wks in.

Won't be any adverse effect if that's what your asking matey, I've just switched my auto's from 20/4 to 24/0 due to high humidity at lights off with all this rain, Cba worrying about getting bud rot in the last couple of weeks
Although generally I do like to give them a couple of hours kip

Honestly.... I have no idea why. I've read enough to know better. Thanks for a quick answer

No issue with altering the photoperiod for automatics in short

    However

If you had a huge great big amount of watts on, id probably look at what it takes to increase the light hours before assuming it will do nothing at all.

Say you have 800ppfd for 16 hours thats 46 DLI

At 20 hours thats 57 DLI or the same as keeping 16 hours but increasing ppfd to 1000

At 24 hours thats 69 DLI, the same as 16 hours at 1200ppfd.

Negative effects will happen if you only increase light without increased watering and feeding
