Default Trichome Colour Help - Pics

    Hi everyone,

my little autoflower is in week 9 and I am wondering if I should start to flush. I took several pictures of the trichomes today but since this is my first grow I am not sure if they are turning cloudy or not. For how long should I flush? I am growing in soil and some said 2 weeks some just one week. Anyway, these are the pics: Click image for larger version.

Trichomes look nice, what strain is it?

Can you upload a picture of the bud or whole plant?

If you are looking for more body and head high wait for some amber trichomes.

If you prefer good high with a bit of kick so you can still do some things around the house then harvest when cloudy.

Or get a sample, dry it in 3 days, smoke it and see if you like it. If yes then chop if not give her 1-2 more weeks.

I dont know about flushing in soil but I have seen guys dropping on nutes in last few weeks and then flushing for about a week but I guess its personal preference.

Personally looking at the trichomes I would chop now but I dont like heavy couch locking high.

    Enjoy brother

Depends on how you like your smoke but the thing is Auto's can ripen over a short few days or some can take a fortnight so I wouldn't put much faith in the breeders timeline
Any pics of the whole plant? Because if you chop too early you might miss the week right at the end when the buds pack on the meat, I took this shot a couple of days ago and its nearly doubled in size sinceClick image for larger version.

ID:	384910 I flushed it last Thursday with a plan on chopping this Thursday or maybe longer, I had mainly cloudy trichomes with a very small sprinkling of Amber when I decided to flush
Just keep in mind your only flushing the soil and not what's already been taken up by the root system or stored in the leaves so it won't actually starve even if it takes a fortnight to finish

A bit long winded reply but the wife's got the TV remote and I'm at a loose end

I decided to start flushing today. However I made a mistake. Flushing to me was intended as a proper flushing so I run 5 gallon of plain, ph balanced water through the 5 gallon pot I am using. I discovered later, searching advice in my language, that i was supposed to feed the normal amount of water simply without nuts.

That flush will be ok,I would leave them for another week and check,it looks like the buds might still swell out a bit more bud.
Hold off on the water until the soil dries out a bit though.

Same as scootb says I'd wait another week and then check the trichomes as it looks like it could have a couple more weeks to go
If your in no rush to get some supply I'd be tempted to maybe go nearer two weeks before it could be ready but it'll pay you back with fatter buds

I would definitely give them at least another week. Preferably two weeks. Still a lot of hairs coming out of the buds. I'd imagine they will fatten up a good bit more.

Thank you all for the opinions, really appreciated. I would love to give them another 2 weeks, although I will check trichomes daily because I would like to harvest with no more than a 10-20% amber trichomes. The 12th of July I am going away for 10 days therefore harvesting in 2 weeks means I will have 7 days to make it dry. What is the best thing to do then? I thought maybe I could give her 3 weeks and then do a slow drying process without trimming for the 10 days I am away. Now I think 3 weeks will be definitely to much

The thing is like mentioned above you've got fresh pistils growing so could could have quite a while before it's ready, if you chop it and dry it before your 10 day trip how will you store the bud? If its in jars it'll need burping a few time a day or you risk it going all moldy

Well, I can chop it the 12th and leave it to dry for 10 days in the grow tent to have a controlled environment. Then when I come back on the 22 and I will put it in jars. I know 10 days seems bit more than necessary but I was thinking to dry it as whole without cutting it in branches and avoid the trimming so that the sugar leaves will curl around the bud and consequently slow down the drying process. However, 3 more weeks maybe are to much. As said above, autos can ripen up in a couple of days as a couple of weeks.

Second option would be to harvest in 2 weeks and dry the buds a bit faster, maybe 4/5 days in the tent and then store it in jar and check humidity for the last 2/3 days. It could be not enough and I will risk mould.

Third option would be to harvest in 1 week, although I might not give the bud the chance to put some fat on. Then I will have 2 weeks of drying: 4/5 days in the tent and the rest in jars which I will open according to humidity.

Maybe I am missing something, maybe there is a better way of drying or prevent mould although closed in jars.
