    Default Budrot help!

I noticed one of the buds on only one of my plants today had some discoloured leaves around the bud and from further inspection it was budrot it looked to be pretty extreme all of the middle of the bud once cracked open was mouldy. There only seems to have been one bud affected I have cut this bud out and a couple of the other buds out below this one which seemed to be fine once I cracked them open and inspected.

I'm looking for some advise on what to do, I suspect the rot has either come from high temperatures or the bud its self getting wet during flushing. I'm one week away from harvest would you wait the additional week or just harvest now?

Not sure what to really do.

My experience is that if you have found one bit of rot, there will be others. Considering the time frame, I would harvest early....

Harvest now and inspect your buds thoroughly as you go, you dont want that goop in your lungs.

keep a regular eye on the crop as it drys it can spread fast.

Good luck, hopefully still get some decent smoke from the rest

Problem is I watered them first and noticed the budrot after, should I wait a couple of days for the water to dry out?

It might have to do with ur waterings that bring rh up, and is a common summer problem the budrot.. but its the moisture within the flowers thats causing it at the first place. You want to keep your grow area under 50% rh

And sometimes even that doesn't help. My last grow was sitting at 40-45% RH during the entire time it was budding and I still got rot in the largest buds. I never got the buds wet, it was a winter grow, temps kept at or below 80 F, good air circulation. Stuff happens sometimes!

What about dark period? Did u have an oscilating fan under the canopy?

With true 50% rh, and proper air circulation you will not develop bud rot...
    Its very uncommon mate

No oscillating fan, but had an 8" intake fan at the bottom of the tent and an 8" exhaust fan at the top of the tent, they both ran all the time. Had 2 RH meters and both jived with each other. The rot started from the inside of the biggest dense buds, by the time I saw it, it was waaay too late to save the big buds, the smaller ones were fine, go figure!

Not enough to create air movement, I'm sorry to say....you need fans in there.
