Default Unanswered: Grown to high in veg & worried for flowering

    Hello Talkers,

I think I've made a rookie mistake and not judged my plants head space very well.

As it stand my plants are currently a meter tall from bottom of the pot to top, I'm growing in a 2m tent with a hps about 20cm tall and I'm currently at about 50% full Scrog net so was going to switch to flower asap.

I've used hardly any nutes & I fed just water today and got a 0.3ec run off. What do you guys suggest I do?

Should I LST the tallest horizontal across the net to give the rest time and then switch to flower or should I switch to flower right away?

I'm just thinking what would be the best thing to do it it was to overgrow what can I do right now to help this?

Im growing Blood Orange Kush, indica dominant in 5 gallon smart pots.

Here's a video (attached) and some photos

Thanks man, they seem happy, I'm just worried my babies may get to close to the lights when they're older.

Also, could you offer some info on what would be the best process for me to go through to flowering stage?

I'm thinking now I've fed her water and have the medium at around 0.3 EC, feed it a transition mix of GH Floranova Grow & bloom and get the EC around 0.8-9. Making the day I feed her next, (will more than likely be Thursday now) the day I let the lights go out for 24 hour and switch to 12/12 and let it use those nutrients most the flip day?

Judging the video do you think it will be okay height wise?

Sorry for laying it on you

Hey, you're talking to a guy that only grows autos! I have little idea on the height for flowering on photoperiods & no idea at all about Scrogs... it's simply stuff I've never needed to know

Autos just do what they say on the tin, there is no vegging or flipping to 12/12 involved, you just grow your plant & it takes care of the rest

Are there many drawbacks with autos? Surely if it that's easy why isn't everyone doing it if it's the best or most convenient way to get your smoke?

    Sure sounds appealing to me!

One con is thatYou cant clone autos,
Therefore it might not be suitable for commercial growers, that needs to take of hundreds and thousands plants so rather work with known phenotypes or if you wana keep a very good pheno for yourseld. Rather than that For us home growers its a nice thing to have. They yield very well as well.

Another con would be virtually no veg time so if ur not dialed in ull get small plants.
