Default Went on a short fishing trip and came back to...

...older leaves on several plants with big holes, chew marks etc... There were no problems before in my usual concealment spot, but when I moved three plants near a few small shrubs to hide them from neighbors who took care of our chickens, I came back to said problem. As a botanist, I know that when leaves are damaged, the plant will put copious amounts of energy into healing the leaves. So, I pinched the damaged leaves off so the solar energy and nutrients would be going into the flowers and not into leaf repairs. A YouTube video gave advice to put lemon juice, lavender and other “get off my plant” herbs on the soil and the leaves. I moved the plants back to the usual concealment spot and all is well now.

Question: Is there a better way to “clean up” a damaged plant besides pinching off leaves?

Any advice would be great on any part of this post. I’m off to the dispensary to pick up some Gogi OG and Orange Daquiri.

    Peace! glitcher
