Default Clones from Feminized seed plants

I took clippings from two of my stronger plants that were grown from feminized seeds.
I'm in day three so far, but ran across an article that this is a bad choice as the seeds went through a lot of street to become female.

Does anyone have experience growing clones from feminized seeded plants?

    Thanks,

When you get feminized seeds they're either good genetics or they're not. If they're not they will be prone to hermaphrodites or they may just be males. If they are good and you take a clone from the plant then you're keeping the good genetics. I've run multiple generations of clones, I've also kept a mother plant around to take clones from. The only issues I've ever had is when I've done a clone from a plant then a clone from the clone and a clone from the clone etc etc. Then they get kind of weak over time.

So good to hear. Since I'm still waiting for my first grow to actually produce buds, and I have some potential clones in process of rooting.

Moving forward, I'm not going to buy feminized seeds. With the investment I've made in equipment, investing in quality natural seeds is a better way to go in the end. I just need to weed out the males.

Whos your favorite seed producer /distributor?

I have been the happiest with UK seed distributors, followed by the Spanish. I like Dinafem seeds and I like fast buds, but I've grown lots of different companies. Right now I'd say stay away from royal queen seeds.

I spent a couple months training up a mattanuska t********** outside last year only to have it be a male. I'm doing light deprivation on another one this year and I'm pretty confident it's going to be a male also.

    Thanks,
One of my best friends back in the UK takes clones from good mother plants from feminized seeds and has NEVER had an issue,in fact he has had a couple that came out better than the mother plant, advanced seeds critical was the favorite somehow the clones gave him purple buds.

ive done over 30 dna's lemon og kush seeds over the years. any ive kept as mothers never hermied. and the took alot of stress..

when i had mums going, after 3-4 months or so under t5 i would treat it like a bonsai. repot in same pot, cutting back the roots with a sharp knife and heavy defol. after doing this 2 or 3 times, or if they get too big/thick, i clone a new one and start bonsai process again.

another option, if you lack space to keep mums, is to take clones just before you flip. as many as you need, plus some more extra just incase some dont root. by the time you harvest, you will have clones rooted and trained to a nice structure.

ive done other fem strains by other seedbanks and not all were as good and hearty as the lemons. they can take alot of stress. as can reg seeds. which i actually now prefer as long term mums. not everyone does them though.

imo, stable genetics are important. especially when they go through what i put them through between grows.
