Default Rdwc chopped 90% of plant as it hermied is that ok

Hi guys , hope your all good .!

I have an 8 pot rdwc all going ok until I spoted one plant hermied . She was growing great , 4 weeks into flower so I have cut all but three big branches off . Couldn’t see Any bandanas on it so thought will keep an eye on it and see how it goes .

As I have cut most of the plant off what will happen to the roots ? Will they fall off and clog up the sistem as there now not supporting the branches that I chopped ?

Or is not the way roots work ?

Any suggestions or advice would be great .

    Cheers

    Rev

It's really hard to say what will happen to the roots, when I used to run deep water culture I lost my electricity to my air pumps and my extraction and got really high res temps and air temps. One of my plants suffered a death of part of the plants and it corresponded to a death of part of the roots down below. So cutting 90% of the plant off there may be some roots that aren't getting any energy through photosynthesis and they might die. Something like rhizo or any enzyme meant to help the plant digest those roots as they slough off would be helpful.

You know I got to thinking about it and can't you just take one pot out of your system? That would be the best way if you could.

Chuck the plant and cover the net pot hole.

I recently removed every hermied branch from a plant. About 50%. The plant is almost finished and has not grown any new hermies.

This was a single potted plant and i was able to determine the cause and correct it.

In a multi plant dwc it is more likely genetics and not root or environmental issues.

I would bin the whole plant.
