Default Fan leaves at the bottom are getting light green

    Hi all,

    Im growing my first plant.
Its an auto critical starting its 3 week of flower.
As you can se by the pictures, some leaves are turning bright green almost yellow
I did my research and this can be a magnesium deficiency
Is this something that need attention? Or can i just cut them out and let it be?
The last picture is because i don´t know how to recognize what are popcorn buds (as told in my las question)
So im asking if the blue pointed branch is one of them.

    Thank you!

    Hi!
Im coming back just to make sure nothing is wrong, because, since the last picture, i can see now that many leaves are becoming yellow and dieing.
From my studies i know the plant canabilizes itself to bring nutrients from the bottom to the top.

But im afraid, if this keep going, im going to get middle-top leaves light green and yellow too.

I can´t tell if its normal, if it N deficiency or Mg deficiency.

    Should i be worried?

    Thx!

I just talked to my fertilizer supplier, he says that this is a problem of pot size, too small for the plant. (I didnt transplant it because i read somewhere that autos cannot be transplanted as they can´t handle the stress, specially in flower)
So the plant isn´t taking the needed nitrogen.

So he said to me two things:
1 - I can transplant it (i really dont think is a good idea)
2 - If im going to keep the 11l pot, i should make a flush with the current watering nutrients to make sure all Nitrogen are available to the plant

    Does this make sense?
    Thx again

I would say 10 litre pot is fine for auto and looks like shes hungry for N! Has she had any feed yet? What soil is she in?

Also your rite about not transplanting an auto they dont like the stress - and to answer your question on popcorn buds, they are just small tiny buds that haven’t received enough light.

    That’s getting worse, innit?

Looks like Magnesium deficiency to me mate. Have you got any Epsom salts around your house?

Hi guys, thx for the responses.

Hmm, interesting if the problem is only MG deficiency. I dont think i have any magnesium sulfate but i can purchase one.
Would need some advice to the quantity i have to put in.

She is in a soiless substrate. Carolina Soil + perlite.
I am feeding her with a nutrient combo from my fertilizer supplier, called photogensis.
I just follow a chart and put the nutrients relative to the flower week.

Hi guys, i think i figured it out!

I was checking my runoff, and realized that, even so i was putting in 6.5 PH, 6.0 was getting out, so the soil was very acidic. (had some nut burn on the tips), this happened like 2 weeks ago.

I started to water with a even higher PH to try to fix that, and although that worked it seemed kinda slow changing.
So, yesterday, to try to fix the plant, i flushed my plant with 6.3 PH and nutrients. I used like 4 liters of water.
So i watered 2 liters, waited for 10 min and watered again 2 liters, to try to clean off any residual nutrients and bad PH.

    It seemed to have worked!
The runoff PH was now 6.2 (really close to the watering)
All the yellowing and dieing leaves are still yellow but i can see that are more alive and stiff, and not papery anymore.

I could tell the plant loved it and is showing growing signs.
The yellow leaves wont never come back to green right? I will have to base my opinion on new growth?

The bottomline is that, it really seems like a PH lockout, so the plant was eating the nitrogen from itself, i pray that is only that! =D
