Default Paper towell method dried up

    hey folks

I germianted 4 seeds using the paper towel method + sprayed it with water and placed it into my new grow tent with a temp at 27 degrees. Left it for about 18 hours, just checked it and the paper towel is all dry. I didn't anticipate how much the heat dried up all the moist up so quickly.

I immediately sprayed another mist of water and left it in there and will check every few hours.

Have I damaged the seeds? If I continue watering and checking, do you think they should germinate?

    Thanks

Worth a try but I would doubt it in my experience.

I prefer to place the seed into a cup of water for 12 - 24h, until it sinks, and then place into final pot (if autos).

Best method is in a zip lock bag m8, they can't dry out then.

Leave them floating for 24 hour in a glass of water, then...

Wet some kitchen towel under the tap, gently squeeze it out so it stays slightly wet, fold it up a few times with your seeds inside then place them into the zip lock bag n seal it. Leave them somewhere warm and dark.

I'm not sure if you will have damaged the seeds, it wouldn't surprise me if you have but maybe not

I actually did that prior putting them into the paper towell.

ok, I've put them in a zip lock bag, ensured it's moist and not damp or draining with water and moved it into a dark wardrobe with a temp of 24.

    Fingers crosssed!

I go same as big jam but I leave the seed sitting on top of the folded paper for easy visibility. Put the bag in a light proof box and keep consistent temp of 87f or 33.5c
