Default LED Lighting in a 1.5m x 1.5m gorilla shorty.

I’ve spent the last few weeks looking at LED light options for my tent.

Would 4 x QB288 boards with 2 x 240 watt Meanwell HLG drivers be adequate? Or would I need 6?

Are the Diablo boards worth the extra?

Want to get this right first time.

Any advice is welcomed and appreciate.

    I run 2 x 260w QB v2 fixtures (2 boards per fixture) in a 1.2 x 1.2, works well, I only grow 2 plants at a time tho.

The 600w is recommended for a 1.5 x 1.5 but I would go with the 2 separate fixtures so you can spread them over the space, If i recall rightly the 260w drivers will push 290w at full chat, so its near as damn it a 600w

It's nice to be able to dim each side of the tent independently if one of the plants requires less light

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

Listing has errors and omissions. Buyer beware.

This is my worry after reading into the early hours this morning.

He’s offered them to me for £200 and he has no website, just eBay and gumtree listings. I suspect it is a fake MW driver and alibaba boards.

I honestly believe the constant influx of fake Chinese (sometimes dangerous) crap is the reason for the world locking down and blaming China. I’m not saying Covid isn’t real but it’s not the fatal disease that lasts for 7 days on surfaces and doesn’t die in UV they told us it was. The reaction has been crazy. Shut down the world! WTF!

Add in the hong Kong and the 5g situation and you know they are going to get sanctions like Trump has wanted for years.

Can you please help educate me? What are the errors and omissions?

I just spoke to him on the phone for over a hour. He had various options and seemed very knowledgeable. Not what I was expecting tbh.

He said everything is covered by a 2 year warranty and that the led are lm301h. He did tell me what the reds were but it was such a long conversation I’ve forgot.

The 301B are pretty much the same light, if not mistaken the only difference is the 301H has about 52 more led's than the 301B, I don't think that is really that big of A difference. JMO

Why is the 730nm described as far and deep red?
What height was the "test" carried out at and what with?
PPF per watt figure is it average of the system? Hows it been calculated ?
UK seller UK delivery, non UK plug

He is a U.K. seller. I’m collecting the lights from his house if I buy and he’s giving a 2 year warranty. He’s only a 10 min drive away. So at least I know that part is correct.

He guarantees that the led are Samsung lm301h.

He said he could get me a HLG 650r if I wanted one but he has better options for much less.
