    Default Budrot and stems

Was defoliating some ladies last night and noticed the smell from the stems as I was pruning, they smelt really strong, almost like buds do, they're in pre flowers, the smell was skunky with the fusty smell, could this be like fungus inside the stems ? Or is it normal for the stems to smell so strong when broken at this stage ?

I'm not talking about the actual outside of the stem buddy I mean the inside of the stem, like as I'm pruning the end piece of the stem that is now detached smells really funky hahaha

Have a look at the calexs at the nodes on your main stem, if they are an ugly brown then yeah there's some rot inside. But, if they look fine then everything else is probably fine too.
