Default Thrips on autos during flower - use predatory mites or not?

I'm growing both autos and photo period plants outside and have an ongoing thrip problem. I've got some predatory mites that will hopefully solve the problem on the plants that aren't in flower but I'm not sure whether to use them on my autos that are well into the flower stage. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Do I just accept the thrip problem knowing that the plants will be ready for harvest soon? Do I apply the mites? Or use something else? I like the mite solution as I'm not keen on using sprays etc but don't want to be harvesting the plants with mites all over them, but don't ideally want to harvest them with thrips on them either.

    Any advice much appreciated.

I can buy a bag of ladybugs at the local feed store, they might be better than predatory mites.

If the mites don't work I'll use neem oil on the plants still in veg but I don't want to spray on the flowers

This could be a good option for the plants already in flower, I'll try and source some. Thanks J
