    Hey oh good people

So ive been having issues with cloning.
I usually clone from flowering plants at the end of stretch.

Id dip in clonex and stick it in a rockwool that has been dipped in 5.6 ph tap water.

Then from here i dont have a "recipe".
How often should i lift the dome? Should it be kept just slightly open? How often should i mist the clones? Could i do that with just plain tap water? Do i need a small fan to blow air around the dome / domes?

Ans any other tip would be appreciated as i kill half of my clones and wana get this straight once and for all.

    Thanks ppl

I alwayd got told mate until they get roots keep the area as humid as possible and only lift the lid once a day and mist when you do (obviously PHd). Always had a high success rate when doing this with clones

Should the rockwool be wet / moist / dry?

Once a day i would take the dome cover off and shake off the moisture then check the weight of the rock wool cube if the cube is light add water but not to the stage where its dripping out the rockwool. Once I start seeing roots I will lower the humidity by opening the vents

The rockwool should be moist not too wet not too dry but i prefer to use jiffy pellets. Had nothing but trouble with rockwool, the jiffy I soak in PH 6.5 for 2 hours or so then take cut soak in clonex for 30mins then straight into jiffy, had 100% success in 5 days everytime since.

I just find the jiffy easier personally, I find they hold the correct amount of water for a long amount of time with little maintenance, i can do the above then mist maybe 2 or 3 times a week ( I leave ph 6.3 water in the bottom of the prop) and I know by the end of the week I will have roots.. I tried many different methods and I could never crack the clone at all it would take weeks and weeks they would all live but not root.. was crazy, i tried the jiffys and had roots in 3 days, never looked back.

i always used rapid rooters. Imagine the jiffy pellets are the same thing. Rapid rooters are inoculated with a root stimulate though. Rock wool
is not a natural product it is made from leftovers of steel making process (if I remember right). I would use some kind of a heat mat if possible.
Funny I ph every thing but I never did the water I used to spray the clones, dome or rooters. Just made sure to gas the water off for 24hrs.
