Default Aloha, Konnichiwa, Hola & Tjaba :)

    Hello everyone,

I am a fairly new grower with 1 "proper" and 1 crappy grow under my belt. But it has been almost 10 years ago so I guess a lot has changed with all the LED's atm. Last time i grew it was with CFL lights and I got a decent crop.
I dont really grow to produce weed as a regular smoker as I am not a big smoker, I more so just enjoy growing things and hey, if at the end I get something that is tastier then broccoli... thats a win in my book, and Cannabis smells so nice while its growing. I also like to make a lot of things with my yield to try out new stuff, like tinctures, try different curing methods and cooking with it, but Tbh... who doesnt love a nice jay outside on a nice evening

Waiting to get my paycheck to order my new lights, and yes sadly contrary to beliefs I will be ordering a blurple, I feel like I will be good for the tiny unprofessional grow I want to do, and Alex the guy that works at vivid says he has a waiting list up to 8 weeks

So wish me luck and please chime in if you see anything in my grows that either interests you, questions you or anything in general, I am always up for a good chat

as of now I am just growing a pair of autos in my window with some extra CFL hanging above untill I get my new lights, thats when I will start a journal.

Keep safe and happy growing and greetings from somewhere in the northern hemisphere

Welcome bud,can you grow outside for 8 weeks?
If you can it will give you a much better result to buy a decent LED light,or even a 315 CMH light,I'm getting amazing results with my autoflowers on my first outdoors grow this year.

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome,

In regards to scootb, I wish . when I came home from work (I normally work abroad) we had a HUGE heatwave, hence the plans to grow some autos autdoors, but with my luck I just caught the heatwave at the end. so after about 7 days of heat, we started getting shitty weather, rain rain and more rain so I had to move the plants indoor, but they are infront of a giant window so they do get sunshine when it doesnt rain and ofc the 3 cfl's hanging above as reinforcements. Ill be happy with what ever I get anyways

CFL can give you decent yields, but they need to be very close to the plants. About 4-5 cm above is best

I have never gotten proper bud density with CFL. Sticky and strong but fuffy. Using the correct spectrum for flower and veg helps but for solid nugs i needed to upgrade.

    Hi again,

yea the CFL is kinda only there as a little plus for the plants. But my first grow was a closet CFL grow and I feel I did good

also, for as I am slowly setting up my small grow room, does anyone know is a G23 socket can be plugged directly into a plug or if it needs its own starter?
I am playing around with the Idea to stick one in each corner or my grow closet to give some extra lights to the lower nodes/ buds...
