Default Had No Idea, Until Weeks Into Grow

Hope everybody is doing as good as possible during the RoRo.

I have a comment/question (I’ll try to keep it short).

Early June I believe, I threw some seeds (a sack I had, had three seeds) into a strawberry pot because the strawberries had died, I was thinking what could come of it.

Well fast forward 15 June, Pic 1-2, and this was growing out of the pot.

At that point I decided to “clean” the pot of all the dead strawberries.

June 17, I’m posting because the plant was hanging on a back balcony. I think it was stretching for light. I moved it and here it is, Pic 3.

June 24, it started to look as if it was simply needing light. It’s starting to actually look like a cannibal plant at this point, Pic 4.

So fast forward some time, and this is July 12, Pic 5.

And after some trimming the dead leaves and branches that looked like that were dying, this was today. 27 June, Pic 6.

I said all that because I have questions....

    1. How damn old is this plant? I didn’t watch it from seed to Pic 1 so I have no idea.

    2. What stage does my plant look like it’s in?

    3. If it’s not in flowering stage when will I know it is?

    4. The internodes have a spade looking thing and one of them I saw a thin white hair (I could have been making myself see it). Can you tell the sex of it from the pics?

    5. Any advice?

Welcome to The Forum, I would say that plant was about 3 weeks old when you spotted it.

It looks nice and healthy if you have plenty of space to grow you probably don't have to do much anything right now. If you're concerned what will happen if it gets a lot larger than you might want to think about doing some training.

We have quite a few different tutorials over in the new growers area.

Roger that. My first step was trimming. I don’t think it needs Fim (I think that’s right) because it’s growing outside and being brought in the garage at night. I was wondering if topping it was considered to late at this point.

I'm still topping mine outdoors, I don't expect them to start to flower around here until about mid-August.

So with this Tennessee humidity and summer, do I need to force flower or us it best to let it takes it’s on course?

You never really know what the characteristics of bagseed are going to be, I would just let It go and see what happens. You may have a strain l that finish in October or you may have one little try and finish in November. I've had a few that could have gone longer than the first couple weeks of October but my weather just changed so I had to harvest then. I'm up in Washington State.

That comment let’s me know I wasn’t being realistic with my grow. I was under the impression I would be done by the end of August. Lmaooooo. Silly silly. I have been to scared to attempt anything I see online. I’m still shocked it grew at all. But now that it is I don’t want to touch it at all. I give it food every 2 days that has nitrogen so I’m hoping for the best.
