Default Dodgy leaves on 1 plant. Potassium def?

    Any idea what this is?

Growing in Soil under a 1000w HPS

I’ve been looking online and I think it looks a bit like Potassium deficiency. I’ve been giving them Shogun PK warrior 9/18.

    Cheers

I would say no on the potassium deficiency, although the plant is doing fine with the PK so why not keep it up? You do have a calcium and magnesium deficiency, the calcium are the rust spots magnesium is the interval chlorosis.

I'm puzzled as to why your leaves look so shiny? I haven't seen that before and I don't know if that's a problem or not

Hi Jingo, I haven’t stopped the PK I’m still adding it to the feed! I think the shine maybe some residual leftovers from a spray I was told to use by someone at the grow shop. It’s called Geisha Foliar I’ve only used it twice and only a bit as the instructions say use 750ml per m3! That just seemed a bit too much and I didn’t want to soak the leaves so my guess is it’s that.

So would you suggest calamg? I thought that was for Hydro only?

The plants usually will utilize more calcium and magnesium when they get into flower and that's typically about the time the soil is running out. I'm not really sure about the availability of calcium in hard water, I think it requires other factors to utilize it in any kind of efficient fashion.

If you go looking for some calcium and magnesium supplement look for the lowest nitrogen content you can get.

Well I’ve given them some CalMag it’s obviously gotten a bit worse but they’re getting it now. Will it recover?

What I don’t understand is all the girls have had identical feeds and watering schedules I’ve been moving them around the tent daily so the light and air distribution is even so why is it only on the one plant?

It’s only the top leaves that are effected all the rest are fine and it looks like it’s growing fine. I thought that deficiency’s manifested from the bottom up?

The affected leaves will never look better and in fact they will probably worsen, you want to watch your new growth and make sure it all comes in without being affected.

Mobile nutrients start showing deficiencies on the bottom of the plant, immobile nutrients show efficiencies on the top of the plant.
