Default Curing without opening the jars?

    Hello,

I have almost finished my first ever grow, the plants are currently drying and are close to needing curing.

The problem I have is that in 4 days I am going on holiday for two weeks.

So if I put the trimmed and dried buds in mason jars and leave them sealed for the two weeks am I going to come back to a rotten mess? Would I be better off leaving the jars slightly or fully open? I don't want to leave the buds hanging as I would expect them to be too dry after two weeks.

I could ask a friend of mine to do the honours but I worry that the jars would be pillaged!

As an aside, isn't it so very satisfying growing your own, I should have done this years ago.

If you get them to where they're mostly dry and they don't require burping more than once a day, you can get some bovada bags in there and let it finish your cure for you. The main thing is to get big enough packages. I use a 65 gram pack for a court jar if you want to use that as a guide. Most guys use bovada 62's in your case I might go with 58's if they're available.

Unfortunately I won't be able to burp them at all for two weeks and I'm very worried if I don't it'll end up all moldy...

Put it in A bag. Or leave the lids loose on your jars.
