Default Grow tent light leak and figuring flowering stage

    Heyo,

I've been trying to figure out why my grow has not been on track since June 6th, when I switched to 12/12. This is my 1st grow, but had done quite a bit of work researching equipment, building a space to support my grow and its been an enjoyable struggle for me.

My grow is in my attic, it has blown in insulation on the floor, but I've built platforms above that for my foundation. Yes its hot & cold af, but I've learned a lot for addressing both.
I use a 4'x4'x6.5' secret jarden tent, 8" exhaust, 6" fresh air intake, 6" intake from a room below that pulls in A/C (heat during winter). I also have fans inside for general air movement. I'm using SpiderFarmer's SP4000 LED, there are now only three ladies in here, planted in fabric pots and FF/OF soil. I'm using RO water, Silica Blast, CalMag Plus, Liquid Kelp and CNS17 Bloom as the primary nutrients. I use all fwith each watering, except the CNS17 is every other water session.

They're feminized seeds from AMS, (2) OG Kush Extrm 70% Indica, and (1) Kryptonite 50% Sativa dominant. They look great. I did a lot of LST with the Kryptonite, she has over 38 tops on her and takes up half the tent, the OG Kush have four mains with some minor branching each, from topping. Those two are super dense and fill the other half of the tent.
All three look great, but no where near they should be at almost 7 weeks of 12/12.

Initially I figured stagnant flowering due to high temperatures in the attic. So I added the 6" inline fan to tap into A/C from a room below. That has helped with keeping my inside temps mid 80's to low 90's Fahrenheit on the hottest days. One OG Kush Extrm was planter 8 days earlier than the other two. And it's showing the most white pistols all around. The other two ladies are showing but now as much.

    A) hoping the black 6 mil covering addresses inadequacy of tent zippers and seams.
    B) What flower week do I follow now the lighting issue has been addressed?

Appreciate answers, any ideas and feedback.

    Cheers

This is one of the zippers, light bleeding through, during lights on session.
I added this one as initial post had maxed out on attachments.

    Thanks,

Dude, lets see a few more flowering sites and pistils before we make that call. Irregular lighting *REALLY* mess things up and it's not just a matter of counting weeks, but any gender issues.

    Hey Brother

I hate to break it to you but it's not light leaks causing your problem. When you have leaking light and it affects a flower it's always the flower closest to the leak, those further away will develop just fine.

Take a look at your bloom nutrients and tell me whether it has any sulfur in it? you do seem to be sulfur deficient and that will slow your flowering. I also suspect you're not getting enough micronutrients. You can go ahead and drop that silica there's no need in soil, or if you want to use it you don't need it in a flower.

Anyway, let's start there and see how it goes.

If you want to darken that tent tape over all the zippers that you don't use and throw your plastic over the top of the tent.

I just reviewed the pictures, and my "after" picture showing the efforts from using the black plastic doesnt really provide much context to what I've done. I will take some better pics and post shortly.

    thanks,

SF4000 is a big light akin to HLG 550 iirc

Is it dimmed and how high is it hung above the canopy?

Id say you need more base feed in general too

Side issue: Light leak from inside to out will be worse than out - in, unless in direct path of sun

It isn't A light leak when the lights or on. Just when the lights or off and lights might have A way of leaking in. That little zipper, isn't going to cause A light leak even when lights or off. JMO
