    alright folks can anyone help me. Would 4ā€ ones of these clamps go round phonic trap or acoustic ducting ? That stuff is a twat to do so was goin to buy some of them instead. Cheers.

  2. "Your seals must be air tight, I use these but still tape all my joins first. These won't give a proper seal on their own. They are designed to stop vibrations between the duct and the fan/filter so have foam inserts inside, which are porous

    If you are struggling to get the phonic to stay on, cut 4 small pieces of tape to hold it in place, tape one side on, then the opposite side. then move round a 1/4 turn and repeat, before wrapping round it completely to seal it.
    Then clamp over the top to secure the weight from the ducting and stop it tearing the seals "

    I found they would have air gaps when I used them, the standard clips gave me a more secure connection

    I use these with phonic and combi ducting. Electric drill keeps things tight and saves time and effort. I found the skinny metal ones ok but gotta be careful not to tear the phonic ducting with it

    Cheers for the comments guys. Think Iā€™m just goin to leave them the now. I taped inside layer and got jubilee round the outer stuff last time just a pain.
