    Default Spring Tails?

I am wondering if these are Spring Tails or something else. They are black in the tables. I also see white bugs in the coco, as well. I am wondering if those are them as well.

Well Google lens called it a type of springtail, apparently they're also over here in North America but they call them snow fleas over here cuz they run across the top of the snow or something.

I've heard of spring tails but have never had them myself

They don't look like the springtails I've ever had. All of mine have been small white critters and stayed small. They look more like a lacewing to me.

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

Do they all cluster together when disturbed and have a springing movement? I had them and they don't do many harm. I put a few drops of cedar essential oil in my system before I drained and cleaned it got shot of them.

Those are definitely springtails. There are over 6000 springtails types worldwide. They generally do not do too much damage but they do eat root hairs and can prevent rooting in seedlings and stunt growth of developed plants if they are a full on infestation.

If growing in soil, reduce watering and let the soil get a little bit dry between waterings will reduce their numbers.

Thank you for the advice! We haven't noticed any harm but I was worried about our seedlings and veg plants! I always wonder, how much better could the plants be without them?

I don't know who it was that clued me into Google lens, but you can just share the picture to the Google lens app on your phone and it'll find the most likely suspects.
