I dont have any tomatos yet (cherry 100 and celebrity), almost lost both early with the heat wave. They're lagging for sure but jusy starting to flower. The Jalapeños, Serrano and giant marconi peppers love the soil. I also used some home made compost cooking since last year, and cut the extra fish head I had into several smaller pieces with band saw and mixed throughout the garden.
Ive also been using Shine on the pear tree, I also added an entire 1.75 fish head to this tree about a month ago. Yesterday my dogs were jumping up and bumping branches and eating the pears that fall off. Took 76 off the tree yesterday a d still have plenty of pears on the tree, in a brown bag ripening. Gonna mix 6 grams of shine with 3 gallons of water and a little Molasses. Maybe the final feed for the tree.
I bought 10lbs organic brewers grade malted barley, mixed it into powder in the Vitamix blender, and sealed into several vaccuum bags to keep fresh. I mix Barley 5:1 DE, and spread over the entire top of the bed. The Barley will eventually create a mycelium mold crust over the top of the soil. The DE has silica in it as well as many other micros and is a bonus. I added to all the fruit trees as well. No Necatrines this year, had bad leaf curl early, so no fruit this year, but the tree is almost back to 100%.
