Flushing does make a difference in harshness and taste. Personally noticed when I purposefully didn't flush one of my plants in Coco the smoke was much harsher and more residual chlorophyll smell/taste while those that got flushed smelled and tasted like oranges. They were cured in the same way. My circle of friends agreed from their own independent study and report with soil an coco. The way I see it is some people like mcdonalds burgers just as much as the restaurant burgers so to them there isn't much difference and they usually don't do a full cure on top of that so it all seems even. Nutrients are systemic and still water soluble inside the plant after all, flushing will always help the final product.
