    Default Grow box build

    Hey guys,

Gonna make a grow box for my 600watt air cooled light

Thinkin of 6ft high 4ft wide insulated outside then ply inside with all the joins silliconed and painted white.

Need to order the ply, am i right in thinking i need 5 sheets? Only planning on screwing the ply to the frame on the inside its going in a brick shed so i can insulate against the brick walls to save on ply, Ive done the floor already when i was growing before but this time I wanna do it properly. Obviously going to need a full sheet for the front/door. I should be able to use the off cuts for the top side inside and outside shouldnt i? Obviously going to seal any joints on there too and I can get some 4inch underground pipe for the intake and its a 6” extractor.

    Anything else I’ve missed?

Hope this makes sense its hard to explain and im useless haha

For building cabs and the like, I can recommend the Kreg pocket hole jig. It's over priced for what you get but if you can cut the timber to the correct lengths, that's all the skill you need. The jig does the rest.

I've been wanting one of those 'Kreg pocket hole jigs' for years, never got around to purchasing one..I know they have cheaper alternatives but I hear they're not as good..lovely little tool

You can pick them up for £41 on Amazon for the 'Kreg 185823 Kreg Jig R3' model, although there are more expensive models Bg mate..but you make a good point if only purchasing for this one job, it's overkill lol

My problem with stuff like this is a look at them and then build my own.
Coming from a engineering/welding background I've made jigs for almost everything.
Generally stainless steel with hardened inserts
