The active ingredients in any of these bud hardeners or other products that guarantee large yield increases, such as Rox are poisonous pesticides. 2 of the most used are daminozide and paclobutrazol, absolute poison and us not to be used on consumable plants, they are for ornamentals only. Do not use this shit
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.

Knowing the dangers of pgrs what other means can be done to produce tight nuggets? I've got a small 250ml bottle of Rox but I haven't used it. I know that most foods nowadays have some sort of growth regulation in it yet most ends up on our dinner table some way or another.

Good genetics, good environment and the correct feeding/watering along with fantastic lighting will give you exactly that..there are no 'magical' potions, certainly not any you would want to be consuming either way.

Some are lucky and get all these factors correct out the gate..for many of us we need to fine-tune this over time to get to where we wanna be...that journey can be fun in itself, this hobby is all about that too, not just the 'end product'.

Even if you get all else correct and the genetics aren't there, then you still might not...but you'll get damn good homegrown weed you can be proud of and that's gonna be better than any crap off the street that's for sure!

I've only done indoor for the past 2 years. I try to go as organic as possible. The lights I have been using are ViperSpectra 450 watts (2 of them, 1 for each plant)(It's legal where I live, but we're only allowed to have 2 plants). I've been very happy with Dutch Passion's Auto Night Queen. I only got 2 ounces (56 grams) off each plant, but the buds were super dense and sticky. I recently grew a Gorilla Glue Auto of unknown heritage with a HLG100. Buds weren't quite as dense, but I did get 3.5 ounces from that one. Outdoor is still my favorite way to grow. What is PGR?

Ice Caliber has given you very good advice. Id also look at things like making sure there is bit of difference (cooler) in your dark temperatures and that it is actually completely dark. Then also learning your plant and hitting the flowering spikes at the right times with p.k. . These things along with the right genetics and good lighting should give you the ability to match any bud. Remember just because bud is grown in cali it doesn't give it some magical advantage, you can do just as good with the right preparation, knowledge, experience and skill. Good luck.
