    Nice one ice,
I put em in a glass of water 24h
Then on wet cotton wool until i see root, then into rockwool / jiffy and i guess the hole is really about 1cm deep .. n i always had very high success rate with seeds this way.

if your worried about the germinating, rub them on some fine grade sand paper to thin the shell, then leave in soak for 24 hours
then soak kitchen roll and place the seeds in inbetween and seal in a sandwich bag
they should all germinate in a few days,
then slide them in the soil.

Cheers Wags, yeah that's what I was thinking..many new growers do have problems with seed germination and sometimes explaining a technique is not enough unfortunately so what better way to learn than to advise them to try experimenting on inexpensive seeds so they can iron out the issues, and find a good way of germinating themselves (with the help of our helpful techniques) and save some money in the process

I always plant root tip up and almost a 1/4" deep, takes the cap right off and if the seed is to week to make it up i don't want it any way.
