My problem is I have a limited amount of space...

    - I have 8 plants
    - 1-4 are 6 weeks veg, 70-80cm high (half my available space)
    - 5-8 are 2-3 weeks behind
    - I need to clear room to allow whatever plants I have left to have proper light for budding
    - I have a 400w and 2x 600w metal halide lights running and will switch the bulbs when I go 12/12.

The plants are all touching (due to limited space). Should I just go 12/12 now and get rid of the males asap or if they are touching will it cause problems?

If you are that full and you haven't flipped yet, you better hope that half our males. I would definitely go ahead and flip to 12/12 now, you may have to wait 2 weeks to see sex for sure.

The males are always tall and lanky mate, like folks said, flip and give it 2 weeks to be certain mate, then chopp if you see balls haha
