Default Bad Problem Right before Harvest

    Hi fellow growers,

I have hit a snag just before harvest! My Amnesia grown in peat / coco mix are in work 11 of flower, just about ready to harvest and some buds are showing signs of some kind of rot maybe?? And it's spreading. I am going to chop the affected buds now but anyone any idea if this is a rot / mold problem or something else? Last pic is healthy but for comparison! Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks DT

Does look like rotten or dead bud unfortunately.

Put a rubber glover over the dead bit and cut the stem below this, above the next healthy looking bud. Contain in glove and have look away from the grow room.

It will be very obviously mushy, limp kind of rotten dead looking

Need more info like Shred says on environment etc to work out wot went wong

Thanks for your replies both. I have trimmed off the affected areas as you said and have examined closely. In the dead looking bud, the leaves have died right back and are crispy , the bud looks grey or beige and unhealthy but not mushy, fortunately, not big areas. Under the microscope is interesting, the affected bud the trichomes are degraded and many are amber and there's fibres visible across the surface of the bud.

On the healthy sections, trichs look healthy, clear or milky and no fibres are present.

Conditions in the room have been, 25 to 26 degs in the day 45% RH. Humidity may have crept up to 75% at night.

    What you reckon?

    Thank you.

Cheers dude, it's not too bad, not a crop buster so far so hopefully nipped it in the bud lol. Have removed all the dodgy bits now.
