    Default Cheap led

Mornin all, whats the cheapest way of keeping a 1m tall photo vegging under led. Got a cupboard that doesn't handle heat well, so even a 250w mh or dual spec will be too hot. Its 7 wks old atm

When I started a year ago I just bought a set and the led what come with that just a blurple but I get very nice looking plants in veg with it. It is 110 actual watt. I am more than happy to use it for veg.
That’s previous grow before I swapped over the hps for flowering. Quite happy with it. Just know it’s no enough for flowering.

Just need to keep it ticking over for a while, I've got some cfl, stuck a 300w in the cupboard, see what heat gets to. Smell isn't an issue so the lil black orchid will be fine to pull air out, see how hot it gets. So ya reckon 110w would keep it goin? I've got a 125 w cfl too, both veg bulbs. Cupboards 2x 1.5 x 5 ft ish so it can get hot quick

    That’s a 3ft x 3ft tent with 4 plants. Does me perfect really.

300w cfl looks good tbf. 24.7 c and 47 % humidity since I last posted. Glad I didn't take this cupboard down now.

Bit tight but I can defol plenty off it. Is that the trick to keeping these in veg state for long times? Defoling? First photo plant. You reckon the cfl will be better replaced with led, just need it to survive really. Its not quite 1 m luckily

If you just want to keep alive and slow growth a 20w led will do - like a mother plant.

Ah OK, sound, may chuck the 125w in then. This has been on 24 lights on for 7 wks, can I switch it to 18/6 or best to just carry on with 24?

18 will keep in veg no problem. 24 more leccy so no point if you just want to keep her on standby. Wont need that 125 but no worries if thats smallest you got

When you go to flower her, dont hit with big amount of light suddenly though

Ok mate nice one, and for the heads up. It'll go under the aray so be interesting to see how it does starting one off from veg to flower. Can dim it down easy enough
