Thread: Got offered to try a LED panel... cheap or not?

    Default Got offered to try a LED panel... cheap or not?

    Hey guys and gals.

    I’ve been offered by a mate to lend his LED panel. It’s a 600 watt I think he said, but he says it’ll be cheaper on the electric than a HPS. Surely 600 watt is 600 watt regardless of which light it is or am I missing something here?

    I understand they don’t give off as much heat and I’d probably need a heater to make up for the lack of heat blah blah blah I only wanna know about the light my rooms got 50mm insulation so I’m not overly bothered about temps just yet

    With led they don't always state the power draw from the wall. You will probably find it's 300-400 watt from the wall

    Might be equivalent to 600w, so may only pull 150-300w from wall!

    I'm no expert mate but was warned away from such lights. From research I've surmised a MH600 is the minimum you would wanna go for. Cheap burples from Amazon are a waste of time and cash, supposedly!
