im not sure they are only used for drainage so i think they maybe okay if not ill have to get some pearlite ordered

Perlite is cheap on Amazon mate. I've seen some people use the clay balls on the surface of the soil, probably to stop gnats

ill grab a bag off the mrs amazon i think the local gardening centre will probably do it too tbf
