I'd drop the res and add just water, set pH to 5.8 leave it for a few days and then drop the res again and add a mix that 0.4 over you background EC

So I did what you said I have heard the same thing in the passed also, but after 2 nights and a day n a half the lack of nutrients started to show but they still weren't taking up much water. I have given them a mild mix with a res change but I don't think it has fixed the problem.
I'm starting to think that putting them in the bigger bins has frecked them out as there roots are no longer on the base of the tub and they are in shock, and seeing that was well over a week ago I'm not sure if they are going to bounce back
