See im in a weird spot where im relying on the heat off the lamp - im in a .8 x.8 x 1.2 tent with a 600w HPS, 6inch extraction and with a desk fan blowing around the base i hit a max of 29c over 16 hour - and ive had to get an oil/electric radiator right outside teh tent on another timer for over night as temps were dropping down to around 11/12c
LED panels and autoflowers,I'm running 2x240w panels 24 hours, cheaper than running my 600w HPS,constant temps,I'm really liking what I'm seeing with LED's and I was an LED pessimist for over a decade.

I'm seeing more and more people go this way! There's still some lights out there that are shite though and over priced so I'd recommend anyone to do there homework before buying any LEDs try and see some grows using said light see how the plants react to it.. a friend of mine recently got an LED priced over 1k and its not even dimmable ffs needless to say it stressed the plants and set him back a couple of weeks

My cellar is 11/12'C. It's enough warmth for them grow well enough to keep me self sufficient. The upside is very little danger of root rot.

With the led light, try heated and unheated on alternate grows. The problem with this hobby is that even when we know Action A is better than Action B, we don't know how much better Action A really is until we test it. We could be making a lot more effort for only a few grams more per harvest.

It boils down to temp being important no matter what light is being used. Optimal crops grow in optimal environments.

What is optimal and how important optimal is can vary depending on our setup.

What is important for one setup can make no difference in another setup. Changing only one thing every grow to see what happens is part of the fun ime. If the change is obviously better or worse, there's the answer. If the change doesn't do much, then the least effort option wins.

600 watts are fine in 1.2 just need good ventilation and temp control.

It took me at least 5 grows to dial it in half decent and much more to get where I am now. Many start and give up quick in this game. Keep going bro and dont be discouraged. Disappointments are key to gaining the determination to get it right, if you have the passion for.it.
