You would be better of using panda film or white paint in the closet than wasting money on a tent bud.

I was thinking that. I would have been able to use the 600w sodium light then instead of splashing out on leds as well!! Im a fucking bellend sometimes, I get carried away. Just wait , I bet all my plants die now as well.

Don't put yourself down mate its all trial and error in this game, win some ya loose some, its all top exiting to get it all up and running we end up making bad decisions sometimes.. dont worry about your plants im sure if you have any issues we can all figure them out and give you a hand

If you bought the gear on amazon you should be able to return it,possibly the same with hydro stores.
From what I have read that LED could take the place of the HPS,if you can't return anything sell it on and get some cash back bud.
I've always been a 600w HPS guy but recently ordered a couple of 240w quantum boards to replace the old kit,I went with 2 boards rather than 1 big board so I can spread them out more.

A quick update.
In the end I used the led light. I used the 240w part ( the led is a 2 part panel so can be used as 240w then 480w ( both true draws from the socket)) for the seedling and then for a week of veg, before adding the other part .
Lots of good light cover the plants have grown like buggers .
I did have an issue with heat but that qas sorted once I turned on my extractor fan and created a nice bit of negative pressure.
For a tent this size, 600w hps would be far too hot , the overall energy being used for running a hps and then a cooling fan or stronger extractor fan would make growing very expensive electricity wise .
If people have the option , I would say ,spend the extra money on a good led if using a small tent.

Is there a noticable growth difference between HID and LED at the same wattage?
See im in a weird spot where im relying on the heat off the lamp - im in a .8 x.8 x 1.2 tent with a 600w HPS, 6inch extraction and with a desk fan blowing around the base i hit a max of 29c over 16 hour - and ive had to get an oil/electric radiator right outside teh tent on another timer for over night as temps were dropping down to around 11/12c

this is my first grow and im using a panel so i dont know what the comparisons are . i think hps are still very recommended when you are able to deal with the heat issue. with my small grow space i wouldnt have a hope of keeping the temps down so i purchased an led panel. for the wattage (480w) i am told it is the equivalent of a 1000w hps in terms of electricity used, the leds win.
