Default Answered: Plants are too tall - 3 weeks into budding - help

    Hi,

    I have a problem,

I veged for too long and my plants are almost 3 weeks into budding - their growth has slowed a lot but essentially all of my main colas are touching the roof - above the light level, I've bent them in all different directions and tied the plants down as much as I can, but I still have a major height issue. The buds are literally touching the shade/roof/ too close to the light.

    - Should I just let them get scorched / not get light or cut them off, cut my losses and let the plant focus on the lower branches that will be left over?

They are gonna get stressed no matter what so I would super crop them and tidy up, plus cross my fingers..."

Yeah pictures would help wouldn't they.. Sorry.

The shades are also basically as high as I can get them, and I can't lower the plants anymore either. The are sitting at about 2m tall =/

This is what they looked like before I flipped them and removed 30cm of height from my auto drain system.

I removed all of this height here:

Changed the setup so they drain directly through the board

G, I'm almost lost for words. Are those two 250W HPS you have there. You should be able to tie them away from the bulb about 10 to 12", and you might be alright. Is that possible? I grew in A small closet once, under 1- 400W HPS, and had A similer problam, and I tied mine back away as far as the plant would give, and it finish alright.

The best thing to do may be to thin your plants out a bit, I mean the tallest ones that are giving you the most trouble just cul them. The ones that remain you're going to have to supercrop eventually so they're going to need a wider space than what they have now. How many plants are you running? How many different strains?

    There are 2x 600w HPS and 1x 400w HPS.

There is 1 light per plant (3 plants total).

I've already tied them back heaps, if I tie them back more I'll have to break / cut the stems. They just keep growing. They have more than doubled in height in 3 weeks of 12/12.

    There are 3 plants.

The strain I have been told is "Fluffhead". I can't really get rid of them as I only have the three.
