Default Am I ready to harvest?

First time grower, a pretty shit one at that. I've encountered so many problems and had so many things go wrong I'm surprised these pair are still standing. They're hermaphrodite now and suffering from nutrient/light burn. It's a mess. Anyway should I chop them down yet?Click image for larger version.

There's a limit on the size of the picture you can upload I think it's two megs.

I screenshot some instead to reduce the resolution/file size. Hopefully you'll be able to tell me abit more from these. Poor guys have been put under so much stress. I'm growing in hydro, it should be easy to flush the nutrients but it's crammed in there and one is almost wrapping around the light, load of branches keep snapping when I try to remove them, so I've just been topping with water but ppm still doesn't seem to be lowering. The main colas on both are really dry and I can't even see any pistils on them at all...

That third picture is the only one of the mature buds that I can get a good look at, natural light would actually be better. The bud in the third picture is very mature the calyxes are swollen up real nice and the pistils are short dyed back, so it is ready to harvest or flush. If you really want to know for sure you get yourself a lighted jeweler's loop of about 30x and check out your trichomes if it's in any constraint you want a lot of amber colored trichomes if it's a sativa you want milky looking trichomes.

Cheers Jingo, I appreciate you taking the time to look and reply. I'll try take some more pictures tomorrow. They're sleeping at the moment, well at least they should be but they might aswell be watching Netflix with me. I really need to sort out those light leaks. Like I said, so many issues with this grow. Can I chop off the buds that look like they're ready and leave the rest to grow or will that cause all sorts of other problems?

Dunno what a calyxes is. I just enjoy smoking/eating the stuff tbh and I've had enough of paying for dickhead waste of air dealers to drive around in a 20 plate Mercedes.

Yeah it's fine to go ahead and take off the flowers that are ready to harvest and if they're all on top you can lower your lights down.

Just the flowers, leaving the stem, or can I literally chop the entire top off?
