Looks like the dreaded rot unfortunately buddy. What has the humidity been inside the tent

Didn't mean to post twice. It's the side that's been pressed up against the light for a while. Can I chop that bit off and save the rest? The humidity during lights on is fine but I think it gets higher during lights off because I have to turn off my dehumidifier because it's got a light on the top of it and that's bad for the plants right?

I mean pressed up against the reflector hood, not light.

That's the biggest bud of my entire crop

I tried to cover it with duct tape but the light still shines through so just turned it off

I got duct tape on my rad mate and don't shine through try some thicker stuff or cut a cloth and stick the cloth over it.

Could always have it on the outside of the tent here is how I did mine to save room inside. With ducting and an inline fan

Found it more effective like this then just dehumidifing the room the tent is in.

How are your other buds mate. This stuff gotta happen to learn from it unfortunately mate I'm sure we have all had it. I sure have lol. I'd suggest take a step back and rethink the environment buddy

I spent a small fortune on buying the setup, about £800 for a small 2 plant set up and tbh it's only fit for one plant growing hydro. I'll try layering a load of duct tape over the light and see if that helps, if not I'll try your method even though it looks a little complicated for me. The grow started off nice, no issues. The further it went on the more I encountered problem after problem. I had some root for early on, bought some hydroguard which cleared it up but then the problems got on top of me. I think I might even have spider mites now, I googled the signs and my leaves look exactly the same (little spots on leaves). Gonna give them a week of flush and just cut them down and see what I can salvage. The plants look so sick and burnt I'd be surprised if I'll have any left to smoke. Do I need to cure and dry if I'm going to make cannabutter?
