    Default Sudden PH change, bad?

    I've been measuring my feeding at around PH 5.9-6, i'm now late in flower. I took a look at the run-off water and it looks to me like it's perhaps a bit on the low-side for flowering, my paper strip tells me it's around 5.7 or in that range.

    I know this thing with measuring the run-off water isn't a super solid way of telling what the actual PH is but its what i have.. and yes these paper strips aren't 100% accurate either, but close enough to know if something is too low or too high.

    Let's say i would experiment with PH around 6.6 to get it up a bit, would that stress the plants if its a drastic and sudden change of PH? I use soil/coco mix, some have only coco.

    Thanks.

    If plants look fine, id give a damn and a half bout runoff.. especialy without a proper ph pen..

    Why would one mix coco and soil? This might be an issue...

    I would think ph change in runoff will come along with an ec change as well... Again wouldnt bother in coco as much as dwc if plant looks fine!

    @Shreder;
    coco and soil mix is fairly common, no? coco provides a bit of extra drainage, especially the bark-like kind.. anyways, i mixed it in a few because i was out of coco.

    the plants looks fine, perhaps a bit too fine for late flower, there's almost no yellowing going on, which means there's plenty of supply of nitrogen, which it doesn't need that much in flower.. they are leafy as crazy too. i want them to produce big flowers, not small leaves all over. i wouldn't say the buds are super small either, i just want to be sure they're growing as big as they can.

    Yes, advice about PH change, can be good to know overall if it causes stress, not just for this particular situation but for future too, if people usually change it very slowly over e.g a week or if a more drastic change works too. i've never tried it so i dont know.

    Coco helps soil with aeration and retaining moisture Shreder. Its great for the drainage too.

    PH swings can be bad, often manifesting in weird mouldy looking spots on leaves.

    Testing run off is a waste of strips and time. Its yesterdays left over nutrient that the plant hasn't absorbed, diluted down by whatever you poured in today

    Keep the ph around 5.5-6.2 and try not to fluctuate by more than 0.3 at most per day. Smaller changes over time work better than large steps if you do need to change the PH.

    A good solid PH pen is an essential investment for coco in my opinion, you have no micro herd like soil to help with PH so need to be more accurate with what you put in

    NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

    If coco helps soil i get that. But then ph needs to be in soil range not coco range.

    For aeration of soil i get it. But u will need to treat medium as soil. Now u treat it like coco so im confused. Coco doesnt need soil.
