I got an outdoor plant that's started budding really well, but for a while it's had yellow areas and spots on the larger fan leaves. Seems to be doing just fine, just wondering if it's anything to worry about? The leaves themselves feel quite coarse. they're not powdery but definitely feel like they have a layer of grit on them.

    Any ideas are appreciated!

Looks like bugs to me, you need to look underneath those fan leaves and see if there's any signs of aphids or spider mites or even the poop some of the bugs leave behind.

Nice one, cheers. I've had a problem, but I've been on top of it and the bugs are right down so will just carry that on

It looks like the same problem I have been having - see my post from yesterday in the infirmary section. I think its thrips - you can check here for some guidance. ~ Link Removed ~

Could definitely be something along those lines. I have had some very small black flying bugs around them. Thought they were fleas at one point cos they can jump quite well and have a hard shelled dome back, do probably not the exact same thing, but same effects

Little black flies are usually fungus gnats and they live down in your root zone, I would look at some of the stickies on dealing with fungus gnats.

I've had fungus gnats quite a few times before and it's definitely not them. Being in a pop up greenhouse it could be an array of bugs, but they're all getting sprayed nonetheless! Thanks for your help
