    Hi folks,

I am a first time grower and concerned about my current "crop" (6 plants).

My grow details are as follows:

    Started 3 months ago.
Tallest plant is 21 inches smallest is 3 inches (last planted)
5 gallon buckets with holes drilled on the sides and bottom (approx. 6 holes per bucket, 1/2 inch. in diameter).
Soil was a combination of top soil, potting soil, and manure enriched soil.
Light is set at 16 hours on and 8 off.
1000w King LED light with veg and bloom options - positioned approx. 29 inches above the tallest plant and 43 inches above the smallest plant
Grow room is 70 on average and 40% humidity.
I am growing 2 unknown plants, 2 White Widow, 1 Amnesia Haze, 1 Seedman Skunk
I water once every three days and use a hydrometer to check wet/dry. Usually dry on the very surface but wet as measured by the hydrometer at the bottom. I have tended to water a circle around the plant, but not soak the whole bucket.
I run a fan in the room for air.

    Observations:

When I water I do get some mushroom growth on the surface and out of the drain holes - so I am assuming water is making it down - though I do not see any drainage.
Leaves at the bottom of the plant die or are dying (can they be cut off?).
Tops are looking better but at time the leaves have yellow tips and or are bent up. Some leaves are discolored.

Any and all suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

    Thanks

1000w King LED enough for 6 plants?

Best strategy to determine how much light is enough?

    Off the bat, no.

Find out how many watts shes pulling but i think the answer is 2 plants maximum.

For latest led generation, you need 30w per sq foot. For that generation you have 60-70w per foot ( number of plants is up to you )

A quick google tells us that your light has a power draw of 185W +/- 10%.
It's nowhere near enough for 6 plants, and it's nowhere near equal to a 1000W HPS light as the name would suggest.
