    Default FFS, is this TMV

    Hi all,

Just started my second grow and think some of my reg plants are suffering TMV and two of my autos something else.

Yes I do smoke and yes stupidly have done around my plants, I didn't know Tabacco Mosaic Virus was even a thing untill I started searching

Autos are in the the ones in big black pots.

    Could anyone please advise?

I thought my plants had tmv or Dutch elm a year ago looked the same symptoms as yours
Mine stayed like that through veg and didn't seem to hinder flowering but was still present
I put it down to bad genetics or them being northern lights auto
But seems a bit strange you have it on different strains at an early age
Might need jingo or ice to stick up a template

Not sure about the others but pics 3,4 and 6 definitely looks like TMV. Stop smoking tobacco near them and wash hands before handling them and they should pick up. The damage will stay on the plants but by the time they get bigger it will be less noticeable.

First and second pics looks like a possible calcium def so as Shreder says it might be worth giving some cal mag.

Tobacco mosaic virus is a pain and it's something that I've been hesitant to touch upon too much on the forums just because soooo many cannabis issues both in toxicity and deficiency can show similar symptoms and it can really shroud the 'common issue' adding confusion to the mix where there doesn't need to be (in most cases).

This virus is relatively rare and I would say the majority of the time it's not actually the virus causing issues, HOWEVER..a minority will become exposed unfortunately.

The bad news is that there is no cure, most references advise to simply isolate the plants where possible..of course many of us simply can't do that.

If it were me I would continue since they all seem to be showing the same symptoms but most importantly make sure to disinfect everything...and I mean everything that you use and would be in contact with future plants you grow in that space, (once harvested).

I was going to scrap them all and start again, but decided to remove only one showing slowed growth in picture 4.

The 2 Autos showing the orange / brown spots are still getting them on each new large set of fan leaves, but are getting less with each new set that grows.

One of my regs is still growing a little mosaic(ish) but definitely isn't stunting its growth at all and the 2 remaining other regs are doing fine.

Thought I had decent pic, will update with better pics soon.

Ive had a gsc pheno that showed slight TMV-like leaf condition, but it was only coloring, and quite special tbh

Thought I'd come back give a quick update, as I hate Scrolling through incomplete threads wondering if all turned out OK.

So most of my seeds bar 2 of the autos turned into seedlings on the 26th September and they are a 6 weeks old now, the two other autos are 5 weeks old.

My strains are; Bubba Kush (Photo Fem), Cheese (Photo Fem), Critical Amnesia (Photo Fem), Pineapple express (Auto), G14 (Auto) and 2 God's Glue (Auto's),

All seem to be doing well, all autos are budding and all 3 photos are showing as female.

I fimed my photos a week ago, it's my first time trying it and not sure what to expect. It stunted the growth for a few days then has recovered, it never stopped taking in water and so far looks good, loads of new stems forming at the top. I'm going to bend the tops over a bit in a few days preparing it for scrog the following week end.

The 2 autos suffering with the spots did so on new growth for around 2 to three weeks but their growth was never stunted and with each new leaf the spots became less and less.

The Photo Fems haven't really shown any more I'll effects, on 2 of them have produced an odd leaf each.
