Alright folks. I’ve been thinking about it for days now with seeing the progress of my cindy in coco. Cos I have another seed same age in my Wilma and it is out growing it majorly. What would the best pots be ? And is there coco you can buy that don’t need washed out. Or should you just do that anyway. And can I use my nutes like calmag and pk13/14 still just need to get coco a+b ? Loving the speed of this one and the Wilma is such a pain in the arse.

Canna Coco Pro plus is the coco you want mate. I use airpots but plenty of others use fabric pots

Do you need to wash it out before you use it. And I take it the pots don’t really matter. Are my other nutes ok yeah.

Fill the pots from the bag mate, no need to wash

Your nutes should fine if they are salt based (which they will be)

It’s the canna stuff. But will buy the proper coco a+b. Seems easier to me this way.

What size pots would you recommend for 90x90 under 400w. The Wilma has 11L. I would go a bit smaller. It is a pain with the pots being in the same place I want to be able to move them about. And running all the pumps and that it’s cables everywhere.

One plant outgrowing the Wilma could be down to genetics, even from the same seed packet. Too small a sample to base a major change on.

However, if the Wilma is a pita for you, then that is a good enough reason to lose it. ime, removing negatives gives much better results than chasing positives. Hassle free grows yield better.

I'm currently growing 2 autos in coco as a test. It's Plant Magic Plus Coco Coir that I bought in 2012 and never opened until now. Straight out of the bag and into the pots. No problems with it at all. Whether or not you will need calmag depends on your water and nutes. I bought 30g of calmag but haven't needed it. If I had, the 30g would have lasted long enough to have an economical amount delivered. Cheap insurance.

Pot size can limit plant size. If height is not going to be a problem, eg. scrog or lst etc. then I'd go for 11 litre pots. For growing autos free range in my hall cupboard, I went for 5 litre pots and their size at maturity fits the cupboard well.

Same age. Too much of the same in the Wilma. Hate not being able to move them about. Pumps etc. Changing res.
