Default Help 'Didn't wash coco good enough'

    Hey Funky!

Just having a read through... have you used auto pots much before? Cos I find the clay pebbles send the pH all over the place for a few weeks until all the shit is out of them. I’ve tried pHing the pebbles before I put them in but it still happens.

It’s like a see-saw... Maybe if I soaked the pebbles in pH’d water for a week it’d eliminate the problem but fooksake... who’s got time for that?

Gotta be a proper pH nazi with this system.

Thank you for the reply vlad.

I've used the system before with a layer of clay ball in the bottom didn't have much in the way of problems but had better results when i used garden gravel in the bottom with pure canna coco.

This time round I've put the layer in the bottom and also used the pre mixed pebble and coco mix 60/40 from canna so I've increased my use of the pebbles hugely.

I've already decided to go with soil for my next grow using nothing but biobizz light mix some extra perlite and some air pots along with the drain to waste system think that would set me up for a less stressful grow

Thank you everyone for your help much appreciated!!!

Nice one, bruvva! Should be ok now... it just takes a while to settle down. I’m hitting that spot at the mo with my grow... pH in at 5.6, coming out in the trays anywhere between 5.9 and 6.3!

    The battle is real!

    Fookin pebbles!
