    Default Hotshot strips

    Anyone use these on here
    Are they any good I'm thinking of having a couple on standby incase I get a bad infestation of s/mites

    We have a few members who use them with no issues at all, but I'm sure you're already aware they do come with a warning, and I would recommend you research the product so you're at least aware and can be informed before making a decision

    I personally wouldn't use them, others don't mind at all.

    SDS

    Dichlorvos exerts its toxic effects in humans and animals by inhibiting neural acetylcholinesterase (ATSDR, 1997). Neurological effects have been reported in a number of animal studies following acute oral exposure with little information on humans.


    "Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals
    WARNING: May be fatal if swallowed. Do not get in mouth. Harmful if inhaled. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. After prolonged storage, a small amount of liquid may form on strip. Do not get liquid in eyes. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not use in hospitals or clinic rooms, such as patient rooms, wards, nurseries, operating or emergency areas. Do not use in kitchens, restaurants or areas where food is prepared or served. Do not use in homes except for garages, attics, crawl spaces, and sheds occupied by people for less than 4 hours per day. Not to be taken internally by humans or animals.
    FIRST AID
    If swallowed

    Call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately for treatment advice.
    Have person sip a glass of water, if able to swallow.
    Do not induce vomiting unless told to by a Poison Control Center or doctor.
    Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
    If inhaled

    Move person to fresh air.
    If person is not breathing, call 911 or ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth, if possible.
    Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for further treatment advice.
    If in eyes

    Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.
    Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.
    Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice.
    If on skin or clothing

    Take off contaminated clothing.
    Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.
    Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice.
    NOTE TO PHYSICIAN
    Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. POISONING SYMPTOMS: This product is a cholinesterase inhibitor. Symptoms include weakness, headache, tightness in chest, blurred vision, non-reactive pinpoint pupils, salivation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. TREATMENT: Atropine is the specific therapeutic antagonist of choice against parasympathetic nervous stimulation. If there are signs of parasympathetic stimulation, atropine sulfate should be injected at 10-minute intervals in doses of 1 to 2 milligrams until complete atropinization has occurred. Morphine is contraindicated. 2-PAM is also antidotal and may be administered in conjunction with atropine. Clear chest by postural drainage.

    Have the product container or label with you when calling a Poison Control Center or doctor or going for treatment. In case of emergency, call 1-800-917-5431."

    If you're choice is loosing the crop or death to all by using a hotshot strip
    Hotshot strip for the win .
    Just be extra careful and cover the strip while you are in the room with extraction on full while wearing a face mask

    It does sound like there is some nasty stuff in there if I do purchase one it will be for last resort end of the world type scenario after every other way has been tried I already have smc,sbpi and perm to use

    It's like dropping a nuke everything dies close by but if you have a bunker you'll be fine and so will ya plants
    Just use with caution and cover it up when entering the room .
