Hey people, hope you've all had a great week.
I am having some heat issues in my grow tent at the moment, having recently insulated the shed it's in to combat the incoming cold weather, and wondered whether I could get your opinions on a few different options I am considering.
I am growing in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 (m) BudBox with 5" RAM exhaust (284 m3/hr) and 4" RAM intake (165 m3/hr) and my temps in the tent are persisting at 25 - 28 Celsius on the ground and 29 - 31 Celsius at the canopy. Ambient temperature in the shed is 18 - 22 Celsius, with temperatures outside of around 12 - 16 Celsius. These temperatures are with lights on, with lights off it's all much more manageable.
I have a spare 5 inch Systemair RVK A1 (250 m3/hr) that I can connect to a thermostatic plug and was wondering whether it would be more beneficial use it as an additional exhaust for the tent or as an intake for the shed? Former gets rid of more hot air, the latter ensures that the intake is a little cooler.
Normally I would try both and see where I end up, but I need to dismantle quite a bit to go in either direction, so want to make an educated first guess.
Looking to get condenserless aircon with heatpump in the next few months, but want to try and get a handle on the temps using fans in the short term.
Thanks in advance for your invaluable advice, always gratefully received.
